Relining

The purpose of chimney liners is to protect the chimney from combustion and condensates. Present day standards for chimney liners is that during construction the liners should be placed on top of each other and sealed at each joint with refractory cement and struck smooth so not to impede gas flow. If the chimney liners are unsuitable, it may reduce the chimneys capacity to vent, or allow the by product to escape to the interior of the chimney. The by–product will prematurely deteriorate the chimney. Or in other cases the chimney liners will provide areas for dilution air to enter the chimney, reducing its ability to properly vent all products of combustion and reduce the performance of the chimney.

Based on The National Fire Protection Association 211 “if the flue liner no longer has the continued ability to contain the products of combustion, the liner should be removed and replaced, repaired, or relined with a listed liner system appropriate to the class of chimney”.

By relining the chimney system with a U.L Listed liner it will create a sealed venting system inside the chimney that will protect the chimney shell from heat and corrosion, making the chimney a suitable candidate for use.

Whether it is repairing an existing chimney liner with new sections of clay tile or a complete relining the entire chimney system, we have the tools to handle the job, and have the educated, certified technicians to do the job right.

We offer installation of all types of chimney liners, however varying methods and material will dictate the most suitable choice for each chimney repair.
